Sultan Bakery is a beloved Lebanese bakery that has been a staple of daily life since 1975.
Designing a new identity for a brand with over fifty years of deep-rooted heritage meant striking a perfect balance between nostalgia, local warmth, and structural play.
At the heart of this visual evolution is a highly responsive custom wordmark designed to stretch, stack, squeeze, expand, and reshape itself based on its immediate physical environment. Developed in collaboration with type designer Khajag Apelian on the custom lettering execution, this flexible typographic system moves effortlessly across an expansive array of corporate applications.
This responsive logic was deployed across a massive segment of the bakery's packaging ecosystem. Kite C.S. developed a comprehensive architecture of dynamic graphic patterns and layout systems to systematically roll out the design across various box dimensions, wrappers, and bags. To clearly differentiate between diverse product ranges and specialized item lines, secondary typographic palettes and specific color variations were introduced. The final design system relies on bold typography, vibrant color stories, and playful compositions, creating a cohesive corporate identity that feels instantly iconic yet versatile enough to remain dynamically engaging over time.
